We are currently seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to work at our production plant located in Oakland, CA. This position is a full-time opportunity with a comprehensive benefit offering, including a 401(k) plan and opportunities to obtain bonus pay. Along with exceptional facilities and production maintenance skills, we are seeking candidates with strong communication skills, great management skills, excellent organizational skills, the ability to stand/sit/walk for extended periods of time, the ability to lift 30 lbs regularly, and 50 lbs infrequently. What we need:
Under the direction of the Production Manager and with dotted line reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and in alignment with the Company Core Values, the Facilities Manager oversees all Facilities operations and activities in a production environment, including, but not limited to, the conception, design and construction of existing and emerging plant physical systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, automation, fire, emergency, process systems, etc.) to deliver operational effectiveness and efficiencies by performing the following duties: (1) Ensure that work is performed in accordance with regulatory compliance within industry standards; (2) Manage large construction projects by preparing RFPs, reviewing bids and managing construction prime and subcontractors to turn key phase; (3) Plan, manage and implement facilities annual budget, recurring expenditures, capital improvements, etc.; (4) Timely response to facility emergencies during off hours; (5) Develop, evaluate and manage the facilities team and ensure adequate staffing levels; (6) Develop, evaluate and implement safe workplace practices and effective operational safety and use of equipment; (7) Maintain facilities tracking systems including departmental labor hours, develop a comprehensive maintenance plan and equipment retention schedules, etc.; (8) Full ownership and accountability of maintenance responsibilities (9) Continued professional development in construction, management, safety and leadership. What you need:
Associate's Degree in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent education
Project Management Professional designation (preferred but not required)
Five years of commercial/industrial construction management or trades
At least two years’ experience in effectively managing and developing direct reports
Three years experience in working in a cultivation or greenhouse operation (highly preferred)
Proficient knowledge of construction management, including the permit process and reading plans and specs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with teams
Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks under time constraints and strict deadlines
Demonstrated efficiency, productivity, attention to detail, accuracy, and results driven
Proficient tech skills (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Asana, etc.) and the ability to learn new technology
